The Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On People’s Health and Healthcare System” dated July 7, 2020 No. 360-VI Law of the RK.
Paid services are provided to individuals who are consumers of medical services (hereinafter referred to as patients).
Paid services are provided to patients in the following cases:
1) providing medical care on their initiative, including without referral of primary and secondary level specialists;
2) providing medical care in excess of the guaranteed amount of free medical care and (or) in the system of compulsory social health insurance;
3) treatment with medicines not included in the medical form of the health organization;
4) conducting medical research that is not included in the list of guaranteed volume of free medical care and (or) the list of medical care in the system of compulsory social health insurance, and (or) without medical indications;
5) rehabilitation treatment and medical rehabilitation provided in sanatorium-resort organizations in excess of the guaranteed volume of free medical care and (or) in the system of compulsory social health insurance;
6) medical and genetic studies without medical indications;
7) medical examination not provided for by the guaranteed volume of free medical care and in excess of the volume of compulsory social health insurance;
8) provision of medical care under the contract, including voluntary medical insurance;
9) provision of medical care to foreigners and stateless persons.

The benefits for paid medical services, upon presentation of supporting documents, are used by:
- participants and people with disabilities of the World War II and those equated to them - 100%,
- disabled people of groups 1, 2, 3 – 50%;
- mothers with many children awarded with "Altyn Alka" and "Kumis Alka" pendants - 50%,
- children under 18 – 50%.
